Two years of presence in Spain and Italy: where does TDI stand?
Two years after opening our subsidiaries in Madrid and Milan, TDI confirms its foothold in Southern Europe and its commitment to working closely with local players. Our ambition: to support Spanish and Italian companies in digitalising their shipments, through dedicated teams led by two Country Managers.
These establishments are in line with the history of TDI, a French publisher of multi-carrier shipment management solutions, already well-established among shippers in France. In both Spain and Italy, activity grows year after year, driven by increasing demand for visibility, automation and transport cost control.
Spain: structuring the market around transport digitalisation.
In Spain, the Madrid subsidiary primarily supports industrial, e-commerce and distribution companies looking to better manage their logistics flows.
The challenges remain strongly linked to the digitalisation of transport processes:
- Centralising multi-carrier management,
- Reducing manual data entry,
- Improving the reliability of shipment data,
- More closely monitoring performance and costs.
The teams work both on new client projects and on expanding the carrier catalogue available for the Iberian market, in order to provide a technical foundation adapted to the local context.
"Many companies still lack digitalisation, automation, cost control and visibility. Our priority is to provide a pragmatic response to these issues, with a local presence and regular monitoring of our clients' activities. The results achieved with HIFI Filter Iberia were a key milestone: between 8 and 10% cost reduction and an improved service rate of up to 99.6%." says Edmundo Brito, Country Manager Spain.
Tangible results that earned TDI two awards, including the Digitalisation prize at the Premios Logística Profesional 2025 for the innovation driven by Expricing, and a podium finish at the Premios CEL in the logistics excellence category.
Italy: modernising transport management in a highly fragmented SME landscape.
In Italy, the Milan subsidiary operates in a context where many companies still manage their shipments via Excel or legacy systems (such as AS/400), using carrier portals one by one.
This organisation leads to significant time loss and a very high risk of operational errors.
To address these constraints, a single platform centralises all operations, including:
- Direct and fast integration with carriers,
- Automatic generation of labels and transport documents,
- Reduction of data entry errors,
- Better quality of operational tracking.
In 2025, one of the major focuses was the development of new carrier connectors for the Italian market (e.g. DHL, ARCO, FERCAM, Poste Italiane), to meet the needs of local shippers.
"The main logistics challenge in Italy remains the digitalisation of transport. We help companies modernise their management through a single platform that automates all shipment flows and saves them time every day." says Matteo Moretto, Country Manager Italy.
In parallel, specific needs of the Italian market are becoming more apparent, particularly around label printing and coordination with local players.
Dedicated teams for a better client relationship
Beyond technology, the added value of the subsidiaries lies in dedicated teams with mastery of the local language, culture and regulatory requirements.
This presence translates concretely into:
- Support in the local language,
- A better understanding of regulatory specificities,
- Easier communication with national carriers,
- Smoother coordination between operational teams.
The goal is not only to deploy shipment management software, but to build a lasting partnership with local shippers.
This proximity is also reflected in the development of new connectors: we now count 32 carriers and 178 transport services integrated in Iberia, and 28 carriers and 124 services in Italy, thanks to the work carried out by our local teams.
Looking ahead to 2026: consolidate, support… and accelerate with AI
In both Spain and Italy, 2025 laid solid foundations: local presence, carrier integrations, first tangible results with clients, structured partner networks.
For 2026, both Country Managers align on the same direction:
- Consolidating local presence,
- Strengthening partnerships with carriers and software publishers,
- Continuing to simplify transport management for companies, whether SMEs or international groups.
2026 will also mark an important milestone for TDI, with the first AI integrations into our solutions, particularly around the automation of rate grid integration in Expricing.
The goal: to further reduce repetitive tasks and allow transport teams to focus on high-value decisions.
"At TDI, we don't simply offer software. What we offer is time given back to logistics teams, so they can focus on what truly matters." says Matteo Moretto.
A goal also shared by Edmundo Brito:
"Our ambition is to become a reliable and accessible reference: a player capable of personalising its solutions, remaining responsive and supporting companies over the long term."
To support this momentum in 2026, TDI will participate in several national logistics events, including Logistics & Automation in Porto and the Netcomm Forum in Milan.
