TDI Technology Roadmap: AI Driving Automation and Innovation
The coming years mark a key milestone for TDI. Our R&D team is accelerating the transformation of our solutions to make them easier to integrate, more reliable in day-to-day use, and better connected to IT environments (ERP, WMS, business applications). A clear ambition: improve our clients' productivity and support the evolution of their transport operations.
With a roadmap extending to 2027, we are strengthening two major pillars: the integration of artificial intelligence into our solutions and the evolution of our application suite, enabling everyone to move faster, with less effort and better visibility across all their shipments.
AI at the Heart of Our Solutions: Automating to Move Faster
2026 marks a significant acceleration, with the implementation of AI across our solutions.
Among the first use cases deployed, one of the most anticipated developments concerns the automatic integration of carrier rate grids into Expricing.
This innovation aims to fundamentally rethink how rate grids are imported, making the process faster, more readable, and more reliable even in the most complex scenarios.
It will notably:
- Significantly reduce integration lead times, regardless of grid size or number of zones
- Greatly limit manual handling, which is often a source of errors and lost time
- Streamline production rollouts and deployments, while ensuring better data comprehension and easier verification for users
A major step forward that paves the way for further automation across our software suite.
This approach is fully embraced by the R&D teams, as explained by Cyril Jaquard, R&D Director at TDI:
"Our priority is not to use AI for AI's sake. Every component of this roadmap has been designed to address very concrete challenges faced by our clients: integration complexity, data heterogeneity, and the need for reliability and speed in deployments. Artificial intelligence makes it possible to automate tasks that have historically been time-consuming and error-prone, while keeping teams in control and ensuring they understand the decisions made by the tools. It is this combination of automation, readability, and robustness that guides all of our technological choices through to 2027."
Expedito Web: Smoother, Better-Integrated Management
The migration to Expedito Web, already underway in 2025, will continue progressively through 2027. This evolution aims to deliver a more unified, faster, and more intuitive interface, while preserving the functional robustness that makes Expedito so powerful.
Beyond ergonomics, Expedito Web primarily facilitates integration with our clients' information systems through APIs designed to interface more easily with an ERP, WMS, or business applications.
In high-volume environments, this approach helps to industrialise data exchanges, secure shipment data (weight, parcels, references), and give operational and customer service teams more direct access to the information they need (tracking, traceability, shipment references).
The objectives are clear:
- Simplify day-to-day use for field teams
- Standardise the user experience across all sites and workflows
- Accelerate updates and production rollouts, thanks to a more modern and maintainable platform
Expedito is also evolving with the gradual introduction of a new standard TDI label. The goal: to have a uniform, immediately usable format that can act as a bridge , and secure workflows, before a certified label is issued.
This standardisation simplifies carrier integration, improves documentary consistency, and enhances the readability of flows, particularly in an international context.
It will also help to streamline onboarding phases, enable earlier testing during projects, and reduce time-to-service.
An Enriched Application Suite for a More Complete Overview
To meet growing needs in steering and visibility, three key modules will complement the TDI ecosystem.
Exdata – Data Export and Sharing
To export, consolidate, and share shipment data in order to feed BI tools or internal systems.
Exinvoice – Automated Transport Invoice Checking
To compare invoices against expected rates, identify discrepancies, and automate controls, saving time for finance and transport teams.
Execo – CO₂ Emissions Tracking
To provide reliable tracking of transport-related emissions and support CSR initiatives and regulatory requirements.
These technological developments are the result of your feedback, your projects, and the trust you place in us. Every step of this roadmap is designed to simplify your daily operations, accelerate your deployments, and provide you with ever more powerful tools.
We look forward to sharing these innovations with you and supporting your business through the changes ahead.

Two years of presence in Spain and Italy: where does TDI stand?
Two years after opening our subsidiaries in Madrid and Milan, TDI confirms its foothold in Southern Europe and its commitment to working closely with local players. Our ambition: to support Spanish and Italian companies in digitalising their shipments, through dedicated teams led by two Country Managers. These establishments are in line with the history of TDI, a French publisher of multi-carrier shipment management solutions, already well-established among shippers in France. In both Spain and Italy, activity grows year after year, driven by increasing demand for visibility, automation and transport cost control.
