TDI, International Transport Partner for Sidas World

Sidas World, a specialist in sustainable and innovative solutions designed for feet and the body, has chosen TDI to support its multichannel and international development.

Sports, leisure, health, wellness… For nearly 50 years, Sidas World has been serving its customers by providing equipment, care, and services across a range of different sectors. The company brings together several brands: Sidas (comfort and performance for the feet), Therm-ic (technical solutions for outdoor and work activities), Podiatech (innovation for foot health professionals), Qenoa (natural body care), and Sidas Academy (training and expertise).

Drawing on its strong expertise, Sidas World reports a global turnover of €70 million, operates 13 subsidiaries (in Japan, the United States, Austria, Spain, and elsewhere), and employs nearly 280 people. From its central warehouse in Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs (Isère, France), Sidas World ships its products to B2B and B2C customers; 30% in France and 70% internationally.

A comprehensive suite supporting international and multichannel transport

In 2019, the company, originally B2B-focused, expanded into B2C. To support this multichannel transformation, it chose TDI:

"The arrival of B2C deeply transformed the way we operate. To manage the growing number of carriers, flows, and services (pick-up points, in-store delivery, direct shipping, etc.), we needed a fast and efficient transport solution. We discovered TDI at the SITL trade show in Paris, and the concept immediately won us over," explains David Hurtrel, Chief Operating Officer of Sidas World.

He decided to implement Expedito, the multi-site, multi-shipper, and multi-carrier solution, along with its Exwarning alert module. A few years later, building on this initial collaboration, Sidas World renewed its trust in TDI:

"This spring 2025, we migrated to a new version of Expedito and rolled out the Expricing and Experform modules. We now have all the solutions we need to ensure high-performance monitoring, at the best cost and with the best available information," David Hurtrel confirms.

150,000 shipping labels issued per year

Since then, Sidas World has been processing around 150,000 shipping labels annually, delivering to nearly 80 countries.

"Without TDI, this would be extremely time-consuming. For some countries, we can choose from up to four carriers and about fifteen services. The Expricing solution determines, based on destination, weight, volume, and delivery conditions, the best price for each shipment. Its effectiveness is formidable," he continues.

"Over the years, TDI has proven itself as a strong partner, capable of supporting the company and its specific characteristics: we operate across multiple entities and channels, internationally, and ship all types of products—including hazardous ones," he concludes.

Looking ahead, the two partners intend to continue their collaboration on new topics, including invoice control, a key issue for the Sidas World teams.
